Beatrice has curated a team of the finest craftspeople in the NYC area to take your vision to completion. She is an experienced & dedicated professional who can easily guide you through any proposal, with as much or as little influence as you desire.
Beatrice Giovanniello’s business career began with GLOO PEOPLE, a store in NYC’s East Village where she sold her clothing designs and custom services.
By helping out friends in the nightclub and restaurant industry, she soon found herself making furniture and drapery for local hot spots.
With a relocation to SOHO, and the acquisition of a truck, she transformed her business into an 1950’s kitsch shop, AMAZON on Lafayette Street, catering to artists, musicians and the NYC movie industry. Having a truck to deliver furniture and equipment to gigs for their band Gloo Girls led to an all-girl moving company, AMAZON MOVERS, which became an international press sensation.
Unable to satisfy the demand for vintage Wave Chairs, Beatrice designed and manufactured an updated version, which sold nationally and became one of her her signature pieces. A reproduction Kidney Sofa was next, which was so successful that SOHO SOFA was born. This new company had a showroom on Bond Street and produced custom sofas. Commissions for custom seating in NYC’s premier nightclubs was her speciality. Her seating and reupholstery graces commercial venues and residences far and wide, and include many world renown designers.
Whether it’s a repair, reupholster, rebuild or creation, Beatrice has the years of experience & artistic insight to answer all of your questions with a straightforward solution. Are you ready to take the step to create something spectacular?
